Fundraisers enjoy a fantastic day on the Morecambe Bay sands

Well done to everybody who took part in the Cross Bay Walk in support of University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust on Sunday June 25.

More than 150 people took part in the event in support of Bay Hospitals Charity, raising thousands of pounds to support care in our local hospitals.

Led by King's Guide to the Sands Michael Wilson, the walkers crossed the bay on an eight-mile route starting in Arnside and ending in Grange-over-Sands.

Approximately three and a half hours walking on the sands of Morecambe Bay taking in all that it has to offer. It really is a unique experience. £84,000 donation supports NHS workers in Lancashire and Cumbria
