World Prematurity Day. Let’s celebrate how amazing our little premmies and their families are.
The Stroke Therapy Team at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary wants to enable patients rebuilding their life after stroke to be able to practice their rehab exercises and tasks as much as possible after their stroke in order for them to get as much recovery as possible. We are fundraising for equipment for our new therapy gym at RLI that will enable patients to practice these tasks either independently or with minimal supervision. Higher Reps speed up recovery and often lead to a quicker return home!

We are four ladies (Julie, Pauline, Carla and myself sue) who work at Salt Ayre Leisure Centre in the Refule cafe. We was talking one day about our bucket list and walking across Morecambe Bay came up with us all as we all live round the Bay Area and thought this would be a challenge, and something you should do at least once, So here we are. We all felt Morecambe bay hospital charity is a local charity so decided on this. So dig deep Team Salt Ayre
along with a number of work colleagues, taking part in the event for the experience and to hopefully raise money for an extremely worthwhile cause
Raising money for FGH Ward 9, who not only provided excelled care for my Husband Mark when he was admitted with terminal cancer, but also pulled out all the stops to enable myself and Mark to be married on the ward when it became apparent Mark didn’t have long left.
To raise funds for the Special Care Baby Unit at Furness General Hospital and say thank you for the care given to our daughter Emarni.
As a way to say thank you for all the hard work Lancaster Neonatal Ward has done for us.
