Bay Hospitals Charity Cross Bay Walk and Piel Island Walk

What an amazing weekend it has been for Bay Hospitals Charity. We have had not one but two walks.  The first was on Saturday 7th July when 300 Bay Hospitals Charity walkers were led expertly across the sands of Morecambe Bay on the Cross Bay Walk by Cedric Robinson MBE and his team, they were ably assisted by the RNLI who followed us throughout the walk. It was as amazing as ever.

Our second walk the following day was once again across the sands to Piel Island with 120 walkers. Our guide was John Murphy and we also had support on the day from the Furness Rotary of Furness Peninsula, our lovely charity volunteers.

We had such a lovely day and we would like to thank to all walkers for making it such a great day and for helping us to raise funds for our local hospitals on this special 70th birthday of the NHS.

Don’t forget if you have collected sponsorship it would be great if you could get the money to us in the next two weeks if possible.

Thanks again everyone, we hope you enjoyed the experience as much as we did.
