It’s time to Spring into Action!

Bay Hospitals Charity is launching a new campaign aimed at helping you get fit and stay active, while also raising vital funds to support our hospitals.

Starting from March 20 (the official first day of spring) we’re asking people to set up a Just Giving page and raise sponsorship by doing any sort of physical activity to get fit for the summer.

It could be running, walking, cycling, weight training, aerobics, swimming or anything else – it’s up to you to choose your own activity and set your own goal to match your own interests and fitness level.

All you have to do to take part is:

  • Choose your activity
  • Visit to set up a fund-raising page
  • Share your page with friends and family to gather sponsors
  • Get active, and share photos and videos of your activity with us by tagging @bayhospitals on Twitter or @bayhospitalscharity on Facebook

Bay Hospitals Charity funds the latest equipment for University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust to help make patients more comfortable and ensure they get the best possible care and treatment.

University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust Non-Executive Director and Chief Executive of Active Lancashire Adrian Leather said: “Keeping fit and doing regular exercise is an absolutely essential part of looking after ourselves physically and mentally.

“I’d love to see as many people as possible take on the Spring into Action challenge to get in shape while supporting our amazing hospitals.

“Whatever activity you decide to do, please have fun and remember to follow current government guidelines on social distancing and gatherings.”
