Cycle the lanes of South Cumbria in aid of Bay Hospitals Charity on Sunday 4 September by signing up for the Tour de Furness.

Organised by Rotary Club of Furness, the fund-raising event offers a choice of 50-mile, 23-mile or 11-mile routes as well as a short five-mile family option.

Entrants will be able to support a charity of their choice, with 20% of sponsorship going to Rotary Club of Furness Charitable Trust.

Sponsorship money raised for Bay Hospitals Charity will be used to fund the latest equipment for University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust to help make patients more comfortable and ensure they get the best possible care and treatment.

UHMBT Non-Executive Director Adrian Leather said: “Cycling is an activity that great for people’s health and I would love to see as many people as possible taking part in this fantastic community event.

“As well as helping to inspire people to discover the physical and mental benefits of cycling, participants will be making a huge difference to patients in our hospitals through their fundraising.”
