The Freemasons recently presented a cheque for £600 towards the Bay b’s Maternity Appeal, handing the cheque over to Head of Charity and Fundraising, Paula Richardson, the masons said they were keen to see locally raised funds going towards projects that support local families.

The Bayb’s Maternity Appeal currently stands at over £57,446, it has an ambitious £250,000 target for a catalogue of “little extras” to help give newborns born at Furness General Hospital’s new £12 million maternity unit, the best start in life, it also aims to make the new unit among the best equipped and most comfortable in the country.
